Carisha Williams, LPC-S
Carisha earned her Master of Science Degree with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2011. Prior to completing her master's degree, she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the prestigious Mississippi University of Women in Columbus, MS in 2005. Carisha has worked in three Community mental health facilities across the state of Mississippi for a large part of her career. In addition to that she facilitated treatment of services to inpatient treatment facilities, Department of Human Services, Youth Court services, and school districts including Desoto County Schools. Carisha's assignment for the Department of Defense, has given her insight into a vast multicultural approach to help support the need of military families.Carisha furthered her educational studies by receiving training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and is now a Certified EMDR Psychotherapist.
Lakeia Kirksey, LPC
Lakeia graduated with a Masters degree from Mississippi State University in 2017 in Clinical Mental Health Therapy. Prior to her master's degree, she earned her Bachelors of Science degree from William Carey University in 2015. Lakeia has been a mental health therapist for the past 5 years and has worked in community mental health, school settings, local juvenile justice systems, inpatient settings, partial hospitalization and has supervisor experience as well. During this time, Lakeia has had the pleasure of working with youth, adults, juvenile detention, and group therapy. Lakeia utilizes CBT, solution -focused, person centered and EMDR therapy. Lakeia specializes in helping those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, mood disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
Cynthia Jones, LPC
Cynthia has been working as a mental health therapist for over 14 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005. She then earned her Masters of Education and Counseling in 2009 from Delta State University. Cynthia has worked 12 years in outpatient community mental health, 8 years at an inpatient setting, 3 years in private practice and 1 year in Correction Facility. Cynthia utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with a Person Centered Approach. She finds delight in being a great listener and meeting clients where they are. “ I believe a Therapist can be a guide and a glimpse of hope for those they serve.”
Office Manager/ Receptionist
Stacy graduated from Delta Technical College in 2011 with a certification in Medical Billing and Coding. She has over 7 years of clerical, billing and coding, as well as, office manager experience in both community mental health and outpatient settings. Stacy is the first point of contact when you contact or visit Masterpiece Counseling and Health Services! She will ensure that your initial experience is pleasurable from start to finish whether its dealing with scheduling, insurance, and or billing.
